Hello, I am Cameron McKinney. I am an Electrician, Senior Control Engineer and a College

Professor. With over 25 years of hands-on experience in designing, troubleshooting, and

teaching industrial controls, I’ve seen firsthand the widening skills gap in American

manufacturing. My wife, Aleisha, brings an equally strong background with 25 years in IT,

making her a powerhouse in tech and systems integration. Together, we founded River Valley

Mobile Industrial Training to address this urgent need. Our goal is simple: bring high-quality,

real-world industrial training directly to the workforce—where it’s needed most. Whether it’s

helping companies upskill their teams or preparing the next generation of technicians, we’re

committed to strengthening the backbone of American industry.

The Find Fault system goes back to the roots of education and relies on repetition. Electrical

troubleshooting is a skill that can be taught; however, not everyone will develop a talent for it.

All of our classes will devote half of the scheduled time to labs. We keep the students engaged

by breaking up information from the learning management system with hands-on labs. We

lecture on a principal and then demonstrate it with a lab.

I have observed a decline in the ability to troubleshoot electrical circuits in recent years. Having

built 3 industrial labs on a government budget and managed training equipment orders for 2

different universities I decided to build my own. What I find lacking in current market systems

is a full featured integrated troubleshooting system. You have to buy a drive trainer with faults,

a PLC trainer with faults, and a motor starter trainer with faults but they do not work together.

Our system combines all three with the added bonus of process control and calibrations!

With our mobile Find Fault lab, our focus is on the growing skills gap in manufacturing and what

better way to train people than bring the lab to the customer!
